We enjoyed our stay. It was great to have plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was very nice as well. The cabin is beautiful.
Our comments are based on our own VRBO rental and the marketing of our home as a luxury lake side vacation spot in McCall Idaho.
The house amply accommodates a large group. There are ample onsite activities to keep children of all ages occupied. The bedrooms are spacious and the closets were ample size for the placement of playpens for sleeping babies. The cooling system was a pleasant surprise with the multiple days of 100 degree heat. The theater room and work out room were exceptional, although better instructions for operating could be provided for those technically challenged.
On the down side, there is obvious wear to bedding and linens which was not expected based on the price a night. In addition, the mattresses in the bedrooms were extremely soft. As our group arrived at various times and late at night, we were surprised there were few guests soaps provided in the bathrooms. There could be improvements in the electric cookware as it was insufficient for a large group and the griddle was non-functioning. When using electric outlets in the kitchen, we could not use multiple outlets at the same time without tripping the control panel switch. The dishwasher is a commercial grade and instructions should be updated to reflect the need to keep the strainer clean as when we arrived it had significant buildup requiring us to clean out prior to use..not a pleasant task.
The only other comment made by family members that brought children was that from a safety perspective they would have appreciated notice when the owner was arriving at the property.
Overall we had a great stay and the owners were extremely accommodating to our requests.
Our family spent three nights together having a wonderful time in this spacious property. Plenty of fun things to do. It was great having plenty of sleeping areas and bathrooms.
We had a great time, and the home suited our needs perfectly for our family reunion.
We rented the cabin for a family reunion and everyone loved it! It was nice that every bedroom had a king bed and its own bathroom. The view of the lake was beautiful. There is fun for everyone at the cabin. And the lake was perfect.
We stayed in the Echo Lake House for a family reunion. The house comfortably accommodated all of us. Depending on the day, there were between 25-35 people that visited, though all did not spend the night. The group sleeping room upstairs isn't super big, but there are two king size beds in there as well as plenty of cots and mattresses to be put down up there as well as moved to other areas. The bathrooms off of the bedrooms were very convenient, some with jetted tubs, and there are also some bathrooms in the community area. We loved the view from the kitchen/dining area, which is also the main area for gathering. There are several tables as well as a bar for eating. We were able to spend an afternoon playing on the water at the Echo Resort which was also fun. The Clark's have an access pass to the boat launch. There is a company at the resort with jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, etc to rent. There are plenty of activities in and out of the house to keep kids and teenagers busy: air hockey, darts, ping pong, foosball, theater and exercise room, volleyball, basketball, etc. The 90 second dishwasher was great and saved us having to bring any paper products. The kitchen had everything that we needed. There weren't quite enough bath towels for everyone, but there are two washer and dryers there that we used. Jack and Judy were there when we arrived and were friendly and helpful. We had to contact Jack and Judy regarding an issue and they promptly came and took care of it. We have stayed in several big homes in a variety of locations for our family reunions, and this is the first house that we want to stay in again.
